Kingsmills Hotel - Case Study
38 Bed Hotel Extension
Korrie assisted Robertson Construction with the delivery of a new 38 bed hotel extension complete with large function rooms for the Kingmills Hotel. The project was over the client's budget at tender stage which put the feasibility of the development into question. Korrie offered a number of value engineering proposals to reduce the mechanical services cost by almost 20% whilst maintaining the performance and functionality of the original design.
Working closely with the project team through the tender and construction stages, Korrie assisted the design team to ensure that the value engineering proposals were successfully integrated into the project. The services include kitchen ventilation, general ventilation, VRV air conditioning, automatic controls, water services, LTHW heating and plumbing.
The finished project created 38 high quality guestrooms with 4 large function rooms within the ground floor. The extension was formally opened early in 2014 and has already experienced a strong demand from event organisers, wedding planners and hotel guests.
